Tubo di espansione

Expansion tubes, also called wall anchors or wall plugs, transfer a screw load into a substrate that cannot hold a thread on its own. The type matters more than the size: fish-shaped expansion anchors are moulded in PE, expand fully as the screw is driven, and are used across construction and home decoration for general fixing. Butterfly-shaped anchors fold out behind gypsum board, decorative panels and hollow walls to spread the load, which is what makes them suitable for curtains and lighting fixtures on drywall. Aircraft-shaped anchors are designed for thin-walled and hollow substrates such as hollow brick and hollow wall panels, where a straight plug would simply spin. Small yellow fish anchors cover light domestic fixing, and self-drilling plastic drywall anchors have a sharp drilling tip and deep threads so they can be set into drywall without pre-drilling.

The result is a fixing for solid masonry, hollow brick, gypsum board and thin panels, using one family of anchors rather than a separate product for each substrate.

Wandu manufactures these anchors alongside its cable tie range, with ISO 9001, CE (LVD) and RoHS certification, OEM/ODM on size and colour, and a 3–15 day lead time after order confirmation.

How do I choose the right wall anchor for my substrate?

Match the anchor to the wall: fish-shaped PE anchors for general fixing, butterfly anchors for gypsum board and hollow walls, and aircraft-shaped anchors for thin-walled or hollow brick.

What is the difference between butterfly and aircraft shaped anchors?

Butterfly anchors fold out behind the panel to spread the load across a larger area. Aircraft anchors are shaped to grip in thin-walled and hollow substrates where a straight plug would simply turn.

Can I use these anchors in drywall?

Yes. Butterfly anchors are the choice for gypsum board and decorative panels, and self-drilling drywall anchors set into drywall without pre-drilling.
